Spring tiptoes passed….

“No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.”
Hal Borland

a hint of spring

Winter is befuddled when warm winds blow,
moving over,
to let flowers grow!

The drabness of the landscape,
under oblique sun.
Earth tilts forward and winter is undone!

Feelings oscillate, between highs and lows,
shedding dreariness,
we change our bulky clothes!

Don’t wait in the wings for another icy blast,
let out hearts applaud,
as spring tiptoes passed….

Just words…

“Don’t gobblefunk around with words.”
Roald Dahl, The BFG
running with words

where have I been,
scraped on the tarmac of indecision,
cemented to errant thought,
of vacant mind,
in rootless imaginings,
unsettled ruminations,
of migratory thinking…

am I a just a vagabond with words?….

let me mediate with vocables,
contemplate locution,
shift from embedded understanding
and float into
the unknowing
of a whispered libretto
without sedentary pause
Google will be my guide…..

Shining from the inside

“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.”― Rumi

wedding

She saw his face
shine
from the inside
colored with love
in beams of
unfailing
kindness.

He emitted
expressions
of deep devotion.

She was lost
in the fragrance
of wonderment
and affection
covered
her fear.

It was a radiance
that lit her world
and brought
her back
to herself
in a delicate constancy
of being.

Winter’s Abyss

“If in every breath you strip naked just like winter, the joy of spring will grow from within.”
Rumi

winter's tale

Staring at the blankness of winter’s abyss,
clouds intermingled
my heart was eclipsed.
Winds were muttering, rattling in the eaves
cajoling misery
to do as it please.
Murmuring in corners
swirling through form,
exposing burdens
devoid of warmth.

Acquiesced interludes of light peeped through,
restoring equilibrium,
scattering the blues.
In melancholy whispers
of a fragile heart,
gloomy acquaintances required a jump-start!
